- The Diploma is a qualification for students aged 14-19 and is set to become one of three main education choices - alongside GCSEs/A levels and Apprenticeships
- Diplomas combine theoretical study with practical experience. They aim to recognise that, for many young people, traditional learning styles dont work because too many young people fail to see the relevance of the things they are taught in school. Diplomas are all about relevance learning about real-world things, learning for the real world, and learning through real-world experience.
- Diploma students will acquire the skills and knowledge essential for success in employment and higher education, both related to the discipline they are studying and those which are common to all disciplines including teamwork, self-management and critical thinking skills
